The favorite caboose of most Katy fans
has to be the outside steel braced, wood sheath cars of the 796-820 series. Built at the Denison
Shops in December 1930, most would be rebuilt and renumbered to 31-53. Originally in caboose
red and Sloan Yellow, these modernized cabooses would serve in Deramus and Barriger red till
the middle of the 1970's. Checkout the
