Ten of these drover type
caboose, numbers 341 - 350, were constructed at the Denision Car Shops in 1942. Built
to handle mail, baggage and passengers on the Katy's branch lines in Texas, they seated 18
passengers. Painted both standard caboose red and the more familar Sloan Yellow, a few
survived till the late 1960's. A similar car of the Katy owned Beaver, Meade and Englewood
Railroad served the Katy's Northwest District in Oklahoma.
